Having successfully secured a reputation, not only in the UK grower market but the export market, for supplying top quality sphagnum moss peat, Evergreen during the late 1980’s, began working closely with the Department of Agriculture in Northern Ireland to develop a general purpose compost base for the retail market. In recent years Evergreen has further expanded creating a comprehensive range of composts in various sizes suited not only for the professional grower but the hobby- gardener.

Alongside this expansion, Evergreen has continuously penetrated the professional grower market by supplying custom made substrates. In maintaining close liaisons with the grower market, Evergreen can tailor needs and offer both a palletized delivery and bulk delivery to suit the individual requirements.

Irish sphagnum moss peat is recognized as having the best organic structure for plant growth and Evergreen uses Irish peat exclusively as the base line for all our composts.

Since 2004, Evergreen has invested over £2 million, on updating factory premises to include state of the art, fully automated production lines. The latest technology in our modern factory complemented with superior quality raw materials, gives Evergreen the best opportunity to produce the finest quality composts at the most competitive price.

More recently, Evergreen has added some peat free alternatives to the exclusive Evergreen range. Further developments are in progress to expand this alternative option for all our customers.
